About the company
A WA-owned civil and construction contractor whose work is mainly mine-site infrastructure in the Pilbara. This role sits in their Perth office (southern suburbs).
The role
You'll own civil and non-process infrastructure (NPI) tenders from start to finish. Typical scopes:
- Bulk and detailed earthworks
- Roads and pavements
- Drainage and underground services
- Concrete and retaining structures
- Site development
What you'll do
- Review tender documents and scopes, and inspect sites
- Do the quantity take-offs and build estimates from first principles
- Get and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Set out the construction methodology, program and pricing
- Assess risk and commercial terms, then prepare and submit the tender
- Hand won work to the delivery team with clear budgets and assumptions
- Help sharpen the estimating systems
What you'll bring
- A Diploma or Degree in Engineering, or equivalent
- Mine-site experience
- 5+ years in a similar estimating role
